KU School of Business Gives Back to Ballard

EMERGENCY FUNDS NEEDED NOW IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19

$1,000 Assures that necessities such as food, diapers, clothing and household goods are always available to Ballard clients in emergencies. A pledge in this amount, which is just $83 per month, or less than $3 a day, supports the 4,272 clients who made a visit to our pantry in 2019.

$500 Covers the cost associated with assuring a family has heat when the first freeze hits. 543 family members received financial assistance such as rent or utility assistance from Ballard’s Emergency Services in 2019.

$200 Will keep our seasonal events alive, which include Holiday Bureau, T.O.Y.S and kindergarten graduation.

$100 Provides our classrooms with adequate supplies such as crafts, books, rugs, and sleeping mats.

Our Mission –  The Ballard Center partners with families to achieve stability through early childhood education and needs-based services.

In addition to providing affordable high-quality early childhood education, we offer services to help families when they experience difficulties, so a stable family environment for children can be maintained. With the help of generous community donations, Ballard provides wrap-around supports to families through our food pantry, clothing closets, emergency assistance programs and other initiatives.[/vc_column_text]
